For the past few years, the Sudbury Companies of Militia and Minute have held an evening at an ordinary, the Wayside Inn. An ordinary was one name given to establishments that offered food, drink, socialization, and a place to spend the night for road-weary 18th century travelers. Typically, meals at an ordinary were offered at a set time and price to the public.
On March 12, the Ford Room at the Wayside Inn set the atmosphere for another exciting Ordinary Evening. We specifically thank Kevin Gatlin for organizing this wonderful event. Guests had fine beverage and enjoyed the excellent fare prepared by the Inn. |
