Contra Dance at the Colonial Faire |
Annually on the last Saturday of September, The Sudbury Companies of Militia and Minute and The Sudbury Ancients (a fyfe & drum corps) hold the "Colonial Faire and Muster of Drums & Fyfe" - a great gathering to celebrate Summer harvest and life. Among the many demonstrations and performances for the benefit of the public, we contra dance.
This year's Faire is scheduled for September 27, with Contra Dancing scheduled soon after the faire opens at 10:00 am in the Main Muster field. This year, a group of dancers and musicians have been been practicing and will demonstrate several interesting dances.
