This is the second evening of contra dancing at the Wayside Inn that the Sudbury Companies of Militia and Minute hold each year. Our first contra dance of the year, the Twelfth Night Ball, was held on January 8, 2010. On April 23, 2009, the main dining room was filled for another great evening of contra dancing and socializing. We also honored last year's colonel with his mugs.The dances are "called" and start off simple, becoming a little more complicated and elegant as the evening and drink flow. The public is welcome, and, no, you do not need colonial attire or a partner to participate. Check back later for our Regimental Ball. |
