Paul Revere graced our muster recently to tell us his fascinating life story.

Sudbury Companies of Militia & Minute

Musters

"Muster" is an old Middle English word meaning "a cause to gather". And so the Sudbury Companies of Militia & Minute assemble on a monthly basis for a meeting.

While we conduct some group business, we also host guest speakers who are experts in a wide range of domestic and military colonial matters.

We invite you to partake of these free and public meetings.

When are these meetings held? Musters take place at 8pm on the 1st Monday of each month with some exceptions. And the group does not meet the months of July and August while most people are taking vacations.

Where are these meetings held? Musters are held at Longfellow's Wayside Inn, Sudbury Massachusetts, in the Ballroom upstairs. Once again, the meeting time is 8pm. Often people meet at the Inn for libation and lively talk. During the month of December, The Sudbury Militia meet at the Martha-Mary Chapel also located on the premises of Longfellow's Wayside Inn.

How can I stay informed about these Musters? Active group members receive a Muster Notice by email or in the mail, while members of the public can be notified of Miltia events via email. To subscribe to email notification, send a request to The Sudbury Militia.
